Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school is seeking a dedicated and skilled general education school counselor to provide support during a maternity leave from January 12, 2026, to June 5, 2026. This onsite position requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with typical hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the middle school level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to middle school students, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and well-being
- Develop and implement guidance programs aligned with school and district goals
- Assist students with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and personal development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid license for General Education School Counselor
- Previous experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative school environment
- Willingness to cover the full leave duration and accommodate the contract timeline
